Mia was the princess who had to marry before she could officially rule Genovia and Nicholas was the next heir in line if Mia failed to fulfill the marriage requirement. She clumsily stepped on his foot their first meeting and enjoyed a wonderful dance. Their second meeting also included a foot stomping, but a lot harsher. Mia discovered that Nicholas was the one that has been after her crown. That he and his uncle were the ones contesting her rule and making sure that she lost her crown. Little did she know that our beloved Nicholas was only going along with his uncle's wishes. Nothing sinister ever goes as planned. And along the way the banter and the "I loathe you's" uttered by the two only masked the fact that they were hopelessly... no "hopefully" and utterly falling in love. And if you looked even closer the longing looks and not so hateful stares revealed more truer emotions. The chemistry was evident and I was enchanted.
